The 44th anniversary of the death of Mustafa Barzani, Kurdish Prominent Leader, was commemorated in the camps of Basirma, Dibaga, Qushtapa and Kawr Gosk in Erbil province on March 1st, 2023.
The commemoration began with a minute of silence in tribute to the soul of the Kurdish leader and all martyrs of the Kurdistan. The event was attended by security personnel, police, organizations, school administrators and their staffs, aside from the camp management staff and residents.
Afterwards, a number of poems were recited that referred to the characteristics and words of Barzani. In the final part of the event, a documentary film about the life and struggle of the Kurdish leader was screened.
Mullah Mustafa, son of Sheikh Mohammed, son of Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani, was born on March 14, 1903 in Barzan and died on March 1, 1979 at the age of 76 in Georgetown Hospital in Washington, DC.
Mullah Mustafa Barzani is the leader of the greatest revolution in the history of Kurdistan’s liberation and devoted his entire life to the revolution and struggle for the rights of the Kurdish people.
Throughout his life, Barzani never gave up demanding the rights of the people and fighting for the realization of national aspirations.
