A delegation consisting of the Director of Agencies and the Civil Environment in the Joint Task Force of the International Coalition, Brigadier General Patrick Morand, and his accompanying delegation, visited Bahirka camp in Erbil province on May 18, 2023 and met with the camp administration and representatives of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF).
The meeting discussed the situation of the IDPs and then visited a number of families living in the camp and reaffirmed their country’s support for assistance and improvement of the living conditions of the camp residents.
Finally, the delegation expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian work of the Barzani Charity Foundation for the IDPs.
Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) is managing 35 camps. Of these, 25 are for IDPs and 10 are for refugees. A total of 261,151 IDPs and refugees are living in those camps.
