Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) in collaboration with the UAE and the UAE Red Crescent Society, on June 10, 2024, in a press conference in the presence of Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation and Ahmad Al Zahir, Consul General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region. announced Sacrificial meat distribution project.
Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, in his speech to the media, first on the occasion of the approaching Eid al-Adha, on behalf of the employees of Barzani Charity Foundation, congratulated the Muslims of Kurdistan and the world. Meanwhile he claimed “Barzani Charity Foundation has had an annual Eid al-Adha project with the UAE Red Crescent Society, the UAE Consul General in the Kurdistan Region and Kurdistan donors. It is appropriate to thank the Kurdish people and Kurdish businessmen, who have continuously supported the humanitarian service projects of the agency, so that we can be at the service of Kurdish citizens and refugees”.
In another topic of his speech, the President of Barzani Charity Foundation, on behalf of President Barzani and Mr. Masrour Barzani, Chairman of the Founding Board of Barzani Charity Foundation, congratulated the refugees on Eid al-Adha. And said: “We are proud that we have made every effort to ensure that the refugees celebrate their Eids like Kurdish citizens,”.
Mr. Musa Ahmad said that there are still more than one million refugees in the Kurdistan Region and called on all embassies, consulates, countries and aid organizations to participate in serving the refugees in 35 camps in the Kurdistan Region that they have been settled in the Kurdistan Region. He stressed that international aid has decreased significantly, so he hoped they would support humanitarian aid like the UAE Red Crescent.
For his part, Mr. Ahmad Al Zahiri, Consul General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region, congratulated all Muslims in the world, especially in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Also, he said: “We are continuing the sacrificial meat project as in previous years, on the recommendation of Mr. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with the assistance of the UAE Red Crescent and Barzani Charity Foundation. We thank them for their continuous efforts to assist refugees and hospitality in the Kurdistan Region in recent years. About 80,000 people will benefit from the project. I am sure that other projects will be implemented by the Barzani Charity Foundation in collaboration with the pious and donors, to include other people to offer sacrificial meat.”
